Meet Nia Starr – Founder of Starr Property Management LLC

Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Nia fell in love with New Orleans after moving here in 2013 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing and Management at Loyola University. During her time at Loyola, Nia gained valuable experience working across multiple departments including Human Resources, Financial Affairs, Purchasing, and Residential Life—developing a strong foundation in operations and client service early on.

Her journey then took her across the globe. After studying abroad in Barcelona and interning in New York, Nia deepened her international business expertise by earning a Master of Science in International Marketing and Management from the University of Sheffield in England. While abroad, she worked with tourism and wedding planning companies, gaining hands-on experience in hospitality, consulting, and operations.

In 2019, Nia returned to New Orleans, bringing her global insight and dynamic energy to the local real estate market. As the former General Manager of a successful short term property management company, she oversaw day-to-day operations for a large portfolio of short-term rental properties—developing a reputation for her professionalism, strategic thinking, and commitment to both property owners and guests.

Now, as the founder of Starr Property Management LLC, Nia combines years of hands-on experience with a client-first approach to help homeowners and investors protect, grow, and simplify their real estate assets. Her vision is to offer exceptional property management with a personal touch—built on integrity, communication, and deep local knowledge of New Orleans.
